siding, drywall

The drywall and painting crew is nearly done inside. They have primed and are doing a bit of touch up work but should paint soon. Since there is nothing we can do inside, we are working outside. We finished the wraparound deck (except for railings) and did siding on one and a half sides of the house this weekend. The hardiplank fibercement siding is fairly easy to install but has nasty dust when cut. Lou's mustache protected him. Lucky for us, the primer gray it comes in looks good enough to keep for the winter. Thanks so much Matt and Lou for coming up to help!

WOW! It almost looks livable. Not at all laughable. Definately laudable. You both are lovable.

Agree on all counts with Jess!! Also wondering--do you have water hook up yet? And, heat this weekend, perhaps? I hear Dad might be coming up one more time. What a good guy! Hoping you can still "escape" at Thanksgiving......you might need a lot of turkey to make up for the calories you're burning now!!!

Mom, We have plumbing in the walls, and a water tank and line to the house, but the two are not yet connected. That happens the same time as the boiler, which I hope to do or have done for me this week.

Palmergirl, We will definitely have a wood stove. Looking forward to reading in a cozy chair next to it.
